You don't hear too many references to Paddy Johns these days except a few mentions of his sin binning in Paris 12 years ago in the run up to the game tomorrow. One of my favourite memories of him was his feud with Gary Teichmann during the South African tour in 1998. I can't remember him getting too involved in too many scuffles during his career but for some reason him and Teichmann were at each other's throats during that series going for each other at every oportunity. Any other memories of this giant of a man??

Saw him at a Dungannon match recently. Reckon his proudest moment was playing in his home club's All Ireland League winning team in 2001. Was going to say home town but I think Paddy hails from Moy just down the road from Dungannon.

I remember he gave Wayne Proctor a sickening but wholly unintentional knee in the face at Lansdowne Road. Didn't help that Proctor was built like a Whippet.

Gaillimh broke his nose when he tried to stamp on Bracken in his first game for England in Dublin. Bracken moved and Paddy got the full brunt.
