floating barrel

    is cz 452 17hmr suposed to have a floating barrel put a sheet of paper under the barrel allthe way along but it gets stuck at the end of the fore end the stock touches the barrel at this point there is no bolts in the stock here
    any suggestions

    Sand the barrel channel with some sandpaper on a dowel until you can fit some card between the stock and barrel then reseal the wood.

    what will i reseal the stock with
    yacht varnish or something else

    Yacht varnish does the job..

    sanded the barrel channel last night and varnished it i can slide a playing card all the way along the barrel
