MOCKINGBIRD are a 3-piece hard rock/blues rock band from the southern coasts of Ireland. Formed by Ian O' Sullivan and brothers Noel & Phil Cunningham in 2010, the band represents a coming home of sorts for these three musicians. Having played in numerous different bands over the years and experimented with different types of music the three guys came together to combine their love of old school rock and blues music.

Initially with a view to just enjoying themselves the band began rehearsing and writing their own material which was to become the backbone of their live shows. Since then they released the single "Steal Your Heart Away" which landed in at No. 2 in the Irish download charts and the band started to get more and more media coverage. Due to demand they released their debut EP soon after which were sold exclusively at gigs to appease the baying masses.

Their sound is a mixture of old school rock such as ZZ Top, with the best of NWOBHM, followed with a generous helping of Rory Gallagher inspired blues rock thrown in. This back-to-basics approach to righting hook laden rock songs is continuing to bare fruit and the band recently returned to the studio to write more material which will form the basic for the next CD which is due to be released in the next few months.
