I was talking to my mum today and she was telling me that one of their cats has been going for a walk with my dad at night. Now she's about 3 years old and technically belongs to a neighbour of theirs, who neglected her and let her have several litters. My parents had her neutered and she lives in their house. Apparently she's started going with my dad for a walk around the block at night. The problem is that she is getting really excited when she knows they're going for a walk and she sprays my dads chair and shoes before they go out. I just wondered if anyone has any ideas why she does it. I've never heard of it before.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read this though I know it's an annoying trait ... Maybe cat does not enjoy walkies at all . This might give u some background info /www.hdw-inc.com/litterbox.htm. . My mams cat had the habit of clawing the furniture and then the door when she wanted to do her business .. Drove the house demented after a while

I couldn't help laughing myself. She's only started it recently. My dad puts his shoes by the chair and gets himself ready to go for a walk and when he goes to put his shoes on she's sprayed the chair and his shoes. My mum says the cat goes a few hundred metres of the way with my dad on his walk and sits in the same spot on the footpath waiting for him to come back. She's told him to shut the cat out of the room until he's ready to go but of course he pays no heed.:D
