Scrap Yard?

Hi

The other half has a 00 hyundai accent that she wants to get rid of,its driving grand except a problem with window and handbrake cable,so shes looking for scrap yards in and around waterford if anyone knows please and does anyone know roughly what they would offer her for it,she has tried selling online but no joy

More like how much are they gonna charge you for taking it. All cars now have to be recycled so it costs.

You won't get much for it. I scrapped a car a while ago, got 24 euro for it.

The poster above has hit the nail on the head. Would find a good indy mechanic to fix the above problems for small money. Is there any time left on the nct on the car? Are you using donedeal or any other site?

Cos she has had the car for five years and she wants a change,so she bought another car this week and didnt have anymore money to put into the hyundai to get it fixed plus it needs two tyres,she has it up o done deal and adverts but hasnt had much interest in it,so shes impatient to get rid of it,even though theres a month nct on it

Molloys will give you about 100e p/tonne ....so you should get at least 90e for it .

Give them the registration book as well if you are going there ,

The car will have to be de-polluted and dismantled on site and you will receive a certificate of destruction

thanks for reply will say it to herself doubt it now though if she will scrap it,as she thought she get more scrapping it,but thsnks to everyone
