saorviw and sky card

    hi all,
    someone recently told me that saorview can b received on a saorview integrated tv using an old sky box with an expired card. i got it workin this way but lost all channels when i moved the box now i cant get them again wen i try to retune!! help please....:/

    Hi Cath86,

    If you have a Saorview approved TV then you will need an aerial to receive the Saorview channels such as RTE, RTE Two HD, TV3 etc. Saorview can not be received through a satellite dish. Your friend may have meant the free-to-air channels that can be recieved using a SKY box or any other satellite receiver or they may be referring to the soon to be launched Saorsat but that will not be available on the same satellite as SKY.
