    Hi Lads and Lassies

Long time reader here. I have been asked to sponsor the weekly ladies competition in the local golf club. I have asked competition secretary for some guidance re prizes but she has been a bit vague. I have decided to give prizes for 1st, 2nd, gross, 3rd and senior. Can anyone give me some pointers as to the dos and don'ts for ladies prizes and typical values. Many thanks

That would be an awful lot to sponsor a weekly comp. Id have thought those figures were more likely for an open day comp .

For our weekly 1 st would be about €50 , BG € 40 , and so on . That would be for a field of about 80

Golf vouchers, or golf prizes that can be exchanged, or beauty treatment vouchers would be very acceptable prizes.

Sponors are so hard to come by, Im sure the committee will be delighted with whatever you come up with. Fair play to you !

I sponsored some Ladies prizes in our club a couple of years ago, using Genesis pieces - one expensive piece and a few not so expensive.

As a man, I was a little afraid they wouldn't go down well but, much to my delight, the ladies thought they were lovely.
