HP DV9000 Overheating

    Hi all,
    I have a HP DV9235 (DV9000 range).
First off, the laptop is around 4 years old but I am just wondering if the problem I have can be fixed.
Essentially, it constantly overheats. Within ten minutes of starting up the laptop, it can hear the fans blowing. The fans appear to work extra hard when I use certain programs such as iTunes.
Usually, I have to prop up the laptop to keep the vents unobstructed. I have tried vacuuming around the vents to dislodge any excess dirt but the problem persists.
Does anyone know the problem with the laptop might be and what a rough estimate how much it may cost?

If You can (know how) dissamble Your lappy and clean fan, radiator, also put new thermal paste on processor it might help a lite bit.

    Thanks guys :)
I had a peek at a few youtube videos on the laptop's diss-assembly procedure. Seems tricky:confused:
    Fun times ahead.
