Is it possible to get goat meat in Ireland?

    It's absolutely delish, especially on a BBQ. Is it sold/eaten in Ireland?

    Yes, I have seen it in several markets.
    Not common but maybe a craft butcher would get you some?

    There was a recent post saying it was on sale in fxb moore street.

    Yep you can find it there, sells out quick though. A German farmer in Westmeath started raising the male goats for meat instead of killing them at birth and can't keep up with demand.

    It's getting much more popular here, particularly given the change in our ethnic population over the last 20 years. The industry has really jumped in the UK largely due to high profile food programmes and Countryfile. A few years back nobody was rearing goats for meat but a number of people are doing it now so it should be much more visible over the next couple of years. It's a hugely healthy meat too! The whole goat industry here is pretty small but hugely underdeveloped. You can have a look some info on these pages
