    Hey all,

For my Final Year Project I have to develop an Android application/website. One of the requirements of the project is to do a survey in order to gage user satisfaction with the application. If anyone has an Android Phone could you do be a HUGE favour by downloading the app to try it out (even if its only for 2 minutes) and then fill in a survey that has 8 questions and most of the questions are tick the box.

A little bit about the application.
A common problem for spectators attending a sporting event is that they often lose track of the score and match events. This problem is particularly evident in amateur matches were spectators do not have access to services such as commentator, scoreboards etc.

The aim of this project is to develop a mobile application so a user can record and track match events on his phone and then publish these results to a website.

    Download App here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jonathanblood.main
Or alternatively search Match Tracker BETA on the Android Marketplace.
The survey can be found at the following address: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/V5VPL2V

The application that is uploaded to the marketplace currently does not have the feature to sync the matches to the website. I have however coded it up and it basically works by allowing the user to sign in from the application. Then the user can hit the sync button which will be located in the action bar to sync all the matches. This will run in the background. Or the user can decide to upload a single match from the previous matches section.

Also by testing the application it can be quite handy for learning about bugs encountered. Especially considering I have only my own personal phone to test from which is a HTC Wildfire. Also the emulators as well. The application doesn't look that well. It could be improved but I just lack the graphical skills to do so. I'd also like to add a good bit more features to the application but time is the limiting factor.
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

Well done. Good project, not just implementation, but the idea is a nice original one, solves a problem. Potential commercial app.

Thanks guys really appreciated it. I also can't take the credit for the app idea. It was my supervisors idea. But yeah I agree it's a good idea! :D

Developed an interface for recording statistics in amateur rugby games when I was in college 3 years ago. Amazing to think tablets weren't really around back then as they're far more suited to something like this than a laptop. Don't think I knew anyone with an Android phone back then either.
