Male deer tissue

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for tissue from male red, sika and fallow deer. I'm just starting a project investigating Irish deer genetics and it looks like I've missed out on the male season. I was hoping someone might have some male venison in their freezer that they could spare a scraping of.

    Thanks!

Might be worth posting on www.irishdeerstalking.org also, a newly formed website for Irish stalkers.

    Same question.

Post here or PM where to send samples and be happy to, pretty sure have one or two sample tubes left that were for a genetic study a couple of years back.

I'm based in Waterford, I can post out tubes to anyone who can spare a sample. PM me with an address to send them to. I'm aware of the fallow study but my project is unrelated and I'll be looking at the three established species (red, fallow and sika). Thanks for that link E. Fudd, I'll go have a look!
