You just need to call them and notify them that you are changing address. You can bring the box from the rented house with you and carry on your contract as before. I cant remember if they need to activate you in the new place (I have a feeling they do) but its all pretty easy.

Sounds to me like this isn't your account.

If it was, they would have given you a recorder box etc as those facilities only work if its included in your subscription.

Are you sure both premises have UPC installed?

You'd be breaking the terms and conditions of your service to do so.

In addition, if your landlord (in your old place) cancelled UPC, the viewing card paired with the STB would be deauthorised and you'd lose service. You can't swap the viewing cards as they're paid with the STB.
