I have a Samsung Galaxy S with Gingerbread downlaoded from Kies.

As of yesterday the default browser has stopped working, despite several restarts of the phone ( error message - process com.android.browser has stopped)

I know there are countless alternatives, and I do have Opera and Dolphin installed, but I'd like to get it working again.

I doesn't seem to be available to download from the App Store. Is there any way to fix or reinstall it?

Factory data reset, obviously back up all the apps you need to your Sd card first.

Just go Settings-Apps-Manage-Browser: Clear data, clear cache. Should sort things out.

Bit of a recurring issue this. happened to a friend of mine again yesterday and the cache reset wouldn't do it. After a bit of experimenting I found that removing the proxy and port from the data APN got it back up and running.

    No crashes since (fingers crossed)
