Acrylic eggshell v soft sheen emulsion

I read recently that acrylic eggshell paint is better than emulsion. A paint manufacturer has told me that acrylic eggshell is now known a soft sheen emulsion. I think that's inaccurate information. Can anyone tell whether there is still such a thing as acrylic eggshell?
