online radio stations blocked

Hi guys i use online streaming apps to listen to us radio stations like hot97... But now they seem to be geo blocked anyone got any info on this..

Ye I had the same problem, its so stupid its just randomly blocked. Thankfully I found this link that I just found a few minutes ago ,which allows streaming,without saying its blocked in this region.

Alot of the stations are geo blocked due to copyright reasons, you can get around it using your smartphone and a great app called I heart radio, that allows you to listen to US stations here live.

thaks bud, but hot97 aint on that,, is there any other radio streaming app you are aware of.... i also got tune in radio.... P.S is iheart even available anymore in the market.

I found that I Heart Radio on the laptop is geo-blocked as well (at least the stations that I tried are).

Kiis 102.6 is a good one based in la.. another is Q104..

TuneIn Radio works well, I was using it to listen to Heart London which is geo-blocked on their website. Have tried several US stations on it too.

I found the iPhone app for iHeart Radio (had to use a US iTunes account to get it...) was geoblocked too... so I just stopped allowing it to access location services and *bam* it worked

Hi guys just for any of you android users, i can now access power106 an hot97 again using droidvpn, phone has to be rooted though. There is another vpn type app available for iphones but think its only a week free trial...

After a month a friend of mine showed me how to get it on the computer.

I am a Mozilla Firefox user, and I used a united states ip address to gain access to the site,because it is a u.s ip address hot97 will not block you from using the station because it thinks you are in there borders.

First of all go into Mozilla setting
Then go into advanced
THEN go into,configure how Mozilla connects to the internet
Then go into ,Manuel proxy configuration
Then go on Google and find a place that will give you an American ip

If you are on Twitter, the type in Anon proxies, this group will give you regular fresh proxies ip address,just scroll down there tweets to find a u.s one,because they give ones from many different countries.

When using this, loading up other pages while using this proxy will cause pages to load slow.Be sure to try different one because,some are fastert at loading than others.

Happy listening guys,least we wont have to listen to the Spin 103.8 rubbish:cool:

how would i do this with internet explorer? don't want to use firefox if i can help it.

Click the cog icon on the top right corner and choose Internet options. Click the Connections tab and the LAN Settings button. Check the "Use a proxy server..." check box and enter the IP address and port.

If you are using Mozilla firefox then go up to my previous comment and it is all explained, I am unfamiliar with other browsers so I cant comment on them.

The same theory applies to all browsers, change your IP address to fool the website to thinking you are in US territory.

If you are unsure where to get a new IP address go on to this website, they provide new IP every few minutes for different countries ,make sure you pick a Unites States IP address or else it wont work

Once you are hopefully connected to your radio station, you can change back to your old IP and it will still play, you will want to reset because a different IP will make your internet slow. I f you lose connection with the radio station you will have you will have to change your IP again,annoying I know but its worth getting your favorite radio station.
