    Hi all,

I have to do a bit of research for a college assignment into the "latest and greatest in cloud technologies and innovations". I have been googling stuff for about an hour but there's nothing standing out that hasn't been around for two years already.

Could anyone point me towards any good articles or sites that would contain this information about where the cloud now is or where it's going.

    Thanks!

The latest developments seem to focus on adverse technologies. ;)

    Un-cloud your files in cement!

'Dead Drops’ is an anonymous, offline, peer to peer file-sharing network in public space.

Imagine, all these deprived data junkies scavenging dark alleyways in pursuit of the latest scene release. :D

Thanks but I don't think that's exactly what I'm looking for!

apply for a salesforce tech support job at stream global services.... you'll hate the job but you'll learn how cloud computing works after a few weeks. ya don't even need to know anything about salesforce other than its a customer relations management database system.

Read up on what VMware, Microsoft, and RedHat are pushing.

To be honest, the core of virtualisation, the hypervisor, is not where the latest and greatest innovations are coming - the focus now is further up the stack, on management and solutions. For example, VMware recently announced Spring Hadoop, i.e. they are combining their hypervisor platform with Spring and Apache Hadoop frameworks, to provide a better virtualised platform for massive data sets.

Thanks for the advice. It is greatly appreciated! Any other cool or new areas worth looking into?
