As the title says, we are looking for a solo musician/guitarist for our wedding reception in august 2012, in the midlands, i.e. laois/offaly, someone who can knock out all the hits. We have 30 guests approx attending.

Must be a regular performer with a catalogue of gigs under their belt...

 no chancers thank you!

do not pm us, please contact us through thread.

Most 1 and 2 man bands take all their gigs through agencies. Suggest contacting local bars around portlaoise who have regular music and ask them what agencies they use.

....and chancers? in the music business? Crazy talk!!!

queenhelen, we have a number of rules on this forum about how bands can promote themselves and I'm afraid you will get few replies on this thread that don't flout those rules. I'll leave this thread open for now, but any post that does flout the rules will be deleted, so I'm not sure it will be much good to you.

Hi, We are also having a small wedding (50-60 people) and are looking for a band. The main issue is that the venue is pretty small so it will only fit a small band. Any help with this would be fantastic!

    Hi,
I don't know if you got something sorted for your entertainment but I saw this guy at a wedding for their pre-meal slot and he was fab, it's just him and an old style microphone stand. www.seanboland.ie hth
