Where would I find a new cab for a 698. The original one was actually made of rust. The tractor itself is in fine mechanical order. It doesn't help that our farm is down by the sea either.

There's an old thread on here somewhere on a similiar subject, think someone was trying to put a 390 cab on a 6oo series tractor. Think they were saying that a landini cab was better quality and would fit. Marleyman is the mf guru on here, maybe send him a pm.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

C and G ,Dublin Road,Clane Co. Kildare may be able to sort you out. They manufacture different types of cabs -some as replacements and some original equipment.Sound crowd to deal with.

All 6 series tractor are the same the cab, bonnet, floor all rust wheather they are by the sea or not . Some that were parked inside all the time provided not in a shed containing cattle are fairly Ok. However if you buy then and do not treat them the same they will fall apart fairly fast. Gennerally all 6 Series tractors are very similar to the early 3 series tractor except the body on the 3 series is generally of a better standard.

I have a 675 cab falling apart however I did ring a couple of the companies that make the cabs 3-4 years a go but they were not intrested as they would have to make a template for the cab maybe not that things are a bit hungrier they might be intrested

There must be a fair few 6 series MF's out there, so you think there'd be some demand for a new cab? Its a shame the cab cab was made of such crap when the rest of the tractor has served my dad, and now myself, so well.

Rang C&G in Kildare they are not doing cabs for 6 series or will not they only make cabs for MF35,165 and the likes as the floor is build seperate to cab orginally also if they did a 6 series cab as well as the floor, they would have to get cab certifierd for roll over or else you would have to put roll bar inside cab.

Not much of a loss anyway they charge around 1900+ vat for a 165 cap so what would they charge for a 6 series cab with a floor you could buy something decent for the price???

How much patience have you got?
