    Hi folks,

I installed Android 2.3.5 and sence 3.0 a while back but have noticed lag. Never a issue before. Sometimes when I hit the home button from the browser or an app I get a 'loading' cycle which can last 10 seconds.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    Thanks

There used to be an issue with usb debugging, though I'm not sure if they fixed that with an OTA update ages ago. Either way, does enabling/disabling it make any difference? My DHD used to be unusable because the lag caused by this was so great.

I've had usb debugging off now for a number of days but am still getting the issue albeit intermittently.

Try installing an app that goes by the name SystemPanel, I think.
The free version lets you check CPU usage and some other stats such as battery temp.. It also shows how much "cpu time" each app has used up to now and the clock frequency currently used by your DHD. It also has some task-killer functions, though that is not its intended purpose and wouldn't recommend trying to solve your lag issues that way.

Install the freebie, check to see if there is any unusually high cpu usage such as 95%+ permanently / is your clock stuck at 1024mhz. Also, see if it is just one of the Apps you have installed that is monopolizing your processing time.

The 10 seconds load time happens to everyone I thought:confused:

Downloaded cpu check and seems outta place.

So just to confirm the issue. If I'm in an app for a while, say angry birds or browser and press home to close it I first get the white HTC screen and then up to 20 seconds of "loading" before I get to the home screen.
One point maybe to note is that sometimes my analog clock goes missing. Would that be something

    CPU is ok. Normal usage.

Ended up biting the bullet and doing a factory reset yesterday and so far so good.

I've been having this problem as well since the update to sense 3.0. It seems to be a problem with sense, in that it reboots itself when pressing the home key. It's pretty annoying alright.
