Hi guys as promised, stupid bastards Walsh and Nicholls never mentioned Kauto Stars fall and impending announcement today!!

    Paddy Power (PP)
    Ruby Walsh (RW)
    Davy Russell (DR)
    Jessica Harrington (JH)
    Barry Geraghty (BG)
    Colm Murphy (CM)
    Donn Mc Clean (DMC)

    In General
PP: Barry Geraghty very excited about Sprinter Sacre, they go NRNB on Saturday morning
RW: Don’t back BB until the day, odds should be better. Ante Post is ****ing lunacy

    Supreme Novices/ Neptune
JH: Steps To Freedom, better on quicker ground, the faster the better. Very happy to go straight there with him, thought about flat race but left it. Schooled and galloped very well lately. Great Bet
DR: Midnight Game, will improve on better ground, horse needs to improve to be competitive. Trifolium has better form in the book but quick ground is an issue.
RW: Boston Bob, hung left last time. Very keen on his chances in whatever race he runs in. He likes Darlan and would take the ride if offered.
BG: Simonsig is better at 2m5 in his opinion, is more a chaser type, he settles very well in his work.
PP: Lots of money for Darlan after Betfair Hurdle
RW: Really fancies Darlan, impressed how he picked himself up and started running again, good sign the fall didn’t trouble him too much.
    DMC: Steps To Freedom

PP: Neptune is best option for Boston Bob
RW: Monksland got the run of his last race, has a good chance
JH: Simonsig if in this race
DR: Not convinced by Irish form, Ipsos
BG: Boston Bob/ Mount Benbulben likely winner.

    Triumph
PP: Big money for Ranjaan early in the season @25/1, not turning out so well.
Sadlers Risk might like the hill after his last run against Baby Mix, the way he looked to be staying on.
Balder Succes – Thornton still undecided as he likes this and Grumeti.
Shadow Catcher, looks like he needs to arrive late, Carberry might be making of him if he rides.
Balder Succes might be his selection
RW: Excuses for Ut De Sivolas last run, Ranjaan is better than his runs, not sure Irish are good enough here
JH: Irish form is very muddled with them all beating each other. Burrenbridge Lodges form seems to stand up but no line between England and Ireland
DR: Not bet race, His Excellency has no chance
BG: Lyvius is due to run Friday and will go here if he runs well. 20/1 could be a decent price
CM: Saddlers Risk will appreciate better ground
DMC: Shadow Catcher could go well

    Champion Hurdle
RW: (Joking) Not sure who he will ride, Binocular is the biggest danger. Zarkandar jumps well and has the stamina but mightn’t have the gears. He doesn’t agree with the 4 year olds hype. Asked how could he get beaten tactically, Ruby said if he falls. He would hate to have to lay him.
    PP: Penalty kick
JH: Better ground will suit Oscars Well down to the ground, fast 2 miles will suit and great chance of being in first three
BG: Binocular has improved a lot on last year. HF nailed on with Binocular to place
    DR: HF
CM: Binocular is interesting and was keen on Zarkandar until Ruby spoke.
    DMC: Bombproof

    World Hurdle
RW: Better competition for BB than recent years and OW and So Young real competition
BG: OW won well and has a very good chance. Asked if he will stay, OW will stay at his own pace but whether he can stay at BB pace is another story.
PP: Pretty unbeatable, back him on the day and the bookies will be taking each other on.
RW: Zaidpour loves cut, So Young looks the one to challenge, Thousand Stars could be competitive, only a neck in it with OW
JH: Absolute certainty, looks a machine
DR: Can’t improve, opposition better than Grands Crus, not sure he stayed. He rates Carlito Brigante but he has no chance!!
CM: Voler La Vedette has realistic chance of running into the money and he would not put people off backing her. When pushed why she is not running in Mares, Murphy replied because she is running in this.
    DMC: BB

    Arkle
    BG: SS – top class
RW: Peddlers doesn’t attack the fences enough, will find Sprinter hard to beat
    PP: SS
BG: Concerned about the hill, that there might not be enough after the line to pull him up. He wasn’t keen against Peddlers but when Peddlers clouted the first SS pulled himself to the front. Trying to get Powers to give 2/1
RW: Happy with Al Ferof, SS looks rock solid, Peddlers not quick enough over fences, spends too long in the air. Looks impossible to beat SS
JH: Very, very good, great jumper and very athletic, saw his jump and the water and though he would end up in a heap.
DR: Mad about SS, Peddlers could give him a very good race
CM: SS is a natural over fences, Peddlers not as good over them

    RSA
RW: Grands Crus doesn’t do it for him
BG: Take on GC, Grands Crus had them(BW & SC) strung out like washing on the far side and was stone cold going to the line. Ruby agreed that he looked like he didn’t see out the trip. IY asked BG if Pipe was a fool, BG said he is not a fool but he is wrong about this.
RW: Not sure what ride he will take. Join Together is more of a national type and is not convinced by him Sir Des Champs would have a great chance.
PP: Grands Crus vulnerable, Bobs Worth 3 from 3 at Cheltenham and looks the bet
DR: First Lieutenant form not good enough, Call The Police is one to back if he runs. He would rather see FL run over 2m5
JH: Grands Crus has course form and will come up the hill, whatever beats him wins the race.
DR: Blames himself for SDC jumping errors the last day, horse is a good jumper and the distance doesn’t matter.

    Champion Chase
CM: What beats Sizing wins the race. Not the first time Zeb has disappointed on soft ground, he doesn’t like it
BG: Finians was better last year and is only operating around 90% of his ability and could turn the corner any day, he is better than his Ascot run. Big Zeb will be much closer to SE on good ground.
    DMC: Can’t see past SE
RW: SE very hard to beat, was mugged over 3 miles and was surprised how well he bounced back next time
    PP: SE better this year
DR: SE and BZ closer on the day, gap in market is too big. Big Zeb has won more head to heads
JH: Will be closer but SE more impressive this year than last

    Diamond Jubilee Chase
RW: Alle Garde is better value than Soll on good ground.

    Willie Mullins on phone
Quevega is in good form, she had a little bang schooling yesterday, she is in good order and fine to back her. He feels quicker ground will be in her favour

Hurricane Fly did 1m4 over hurdles yesterday, he will be happy enough if he has him in the same order he had him in for Leopardstown

So Young will be stepped up in trip if the ground is too fast

Zaidpour probably won’t go due to ground being too fast
    Mikael will travel

Midnight Game confirmed for Supreme Novices, will prefer good ground. He was in excellent form last year and they put him away to keep him as novice, he is not back to that level yet but quick ground should give him a season best performance

Sous Les Cieux and Boston Bob will be kept apart, not sure which either will go in, SLC schooled very well has speed and is bred to stay. BB is highly regarded.

Allure Of Illusion going for Supreme but ground dependant, not as good as Midnight game

Boston Bob looks special, during some work he bounded up between two good horses. Something out of the ordinary.

Ut De Sivola had missed training before last run, he galloped and jumped much better yesterday, only ran last time for racing experience which he was lacking. Expecting more at Cheltenham

No decision from Patrick as to who he rides in Cross Country, Scotsirish has lots of gears, both(Junior) like good ground, Junior gets 2m7, Scots shouldn’t have a problem.

Sir Des Champs has done everything right for them and has won at Cheltenham

Soll, huge horse and should go in the ground as he is a Presenting. Allee Garde will love the ground. If Ruby had pick he would go for Allee Garde

World Hurdle: Thousand Stars could go well, Mourad is going in the right direction and might cut out the running, solid EW bet.

Bumper: Champagne Fever has a huge cruising speed and Pique Sous should improve

    Banker: Hurricane Fly/ Quevega
EW: Sweet My Lord - Pertemps

    Jessie Harringtons Horses
Citizenship – preference is County, failing that it will be Martin Pipe, worth EW bet
Jetson – going for Pertemps, 3m and good ground should suit
Saloudas is heading for Grand Annual, no other comments

Paul Flynn was in the audience
Moon Dice is going in County Hurdle, the quicker they go the better and expects him to better than he was in the Greatwood.

    Paul Nicholls on the phone
The yard is now fine after the coughing

Big Bucks in good form, OW could be interesting and is a worthy contender

Al Ferof is definite for the Arkle and SS will be very hard to beat

Zarkandar is in good order, worked very nicely and is back to form, there is a lot more in him than he showed in Newbury

Pearl Swan definite for the Triumph

Ranjann and Hinterland are possible entries, Hinterland may go in Supreme

Rocky Creek going in Albert Bartlett

Rock on Ruby has really good chance in Champion Hurdle

Prospect Wells has had a breathing operation and has an outstanding chance, didn’t say where he will run.

Crystal Bonus is in good form and heads for Jewson. PN quite taken by him last time and RW was even more taken by him.

Harry The Viking stays forever and has a chance

Join Together goes in RSA and is progressive type, he jumps and stays and is one of his better chances.

Ulck Du Lin, really likes him, he hasn’t run yet

Kauto Star is in good form and has a great chance, no mention of the fall he took last week that left him 50:50 for GC!!!!

    Banker: Big Bucks
EW: Zarkandar has a big chance

    Ryanair

RW: Rubi Light is quick on heavy but might be vulnerable on quicker ground
DR: Rubi Light should be fine on good ground, he has improved since last year and has no jumping faults. Noble Prince is his bet of the meeting
BG: Riverside Theatre should be ok , not sure about the going left handed question mark. He was outpaced in the Arkle and thinks he is fine on the track. Noble has a good chance but has not been progressive
CM: Noble Prince had a breathing op and will love the ground
RW: Quel Esprit wins if he runs here but looks like going for Gold Cup
    DMC: Noble Prince
JH: Ideal race for Quel Esprit, Albertas Run could well go and win this and she like Rubi Light.

    Gold Cup
RW: Synchronised might get lost in the first mile due to the pace, slower Lexus pace let him settle better.
DR: Midnight Chase EW and seems to get on better with new jockey
RW: Quel Esprit has at least a stone to find, extra 2f will suit Long Run, he wouldn’t back or get off Kauto (no mention of fall)
BG: Vibes around Long Run are good, he was really pressed about going easy on Burton Port, suggested through a smile that he left it too late on Burton Port and felt they could have gone another 4f and he would not have passed Long Run – I didn’t believe him
JH: Kauto could make Long Run answer questions, Long Runs jumping not great. Long Run to win and Burton Port to place
PP: Long Run will outstay Kauto
CM: Quota De La Roque is better on good ground and could run in Punchestown. Quito doesn’t travel well in soft ground
DMC: Weird Al is the value at prices and has better chance than Burton Port

    Charity Bets - €200
    DMC: €200 Noble Prince win
    CM: €100 Scotsirish, €100 Somersby
BG: Bobs Worth €100 EW in RSA
    DR: €200 win Noble Prince
JH: €200 win Steps To Freedom (her horse)
RW: Tiger Cry in Grand Annual carrying 10-6!!!
€100 win Boston Bob whatever race he is in, was thinking of second horse I called Moscow Mannon but he went for €100 win Ted Spread in County. L
PP: Sprinter Sacre is banker, Moscow Mannon

    Ones To Watch
RW: Shut the Front Door, Village Vic
    JH: Moscow Mannon
    DR: Avoid New Years Eve
BG: New Years Eve (tongue in cheek)
    CM: The New One
