    Hi guys,
Today i visited a patient in hospital.
I parked at the end of white zig zag lines very close to a left hand side road into another buliding.(which is about 1000 yards from the hospital.)
Anyway,i was clamped and to pay a 50 euro fine.
I was told i had to pay in hospital security area.
Now,i paid the fine no problem and was not rude or argumentative mainly cos i was in a big rush.
Im just wondering was what they did legal?I was not on a double yellow line.
I think it was the council who clamped it.
Also,if i was to have removed the clamp what would the situation be?

As i say,if i was wrong fair enough, hands up but just want to know for sure.
    Thanks

    IBTL.

You did the crime you pay the fine. Build a bridge and get over it.

    ...show us a pic...much easier....

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

just wondering to, what are the laws if you remove the vehicle with the clamp still attached from the scene of the crime?

Taking your own property away with a present somebody left for you attached? None! Your car.
