2 laptops compared - Toshiba & Samsung

Looking around for a laptop for my dad right now and came across these two. Which is the better machine do you think? Was wondering which one has a better combination of cpu/graphics and should I be looking for something with 6gb of ram to keep it future proof?

The Core i3 is running circles around the AMD Fusion.

Love it how they throw in 2 GB extra RAM (which is dirt cheap anyway) just to make it look a better deal. 6GB RAM is rather an overkill on these systems, so you can discard this as a sales argument.

The PC World website has little info on the Samsung. If this review is to be believed, this model may sport HDMI out (the Tosh does not), check with PC World to be sure and if TV connectivity of importance.

The Tosh's Radeon HD graphics card outperforms the Samsung's Intel HD300 but they are both far from suitable for gaming. Comparison and benchmarls here.

The 50 Euro more are well spend on a basic allround system.
