Impreza speedo converter help please

    Here's my problem

    I have a 96 Japanese impreza wrx with km clocks

    At some stage in its life the car had a converter fitted so now it shows the speed in miles instead of km

    I want to take it out of the car but don't know where to look or what I'm even looking for

    Would it be wired into the car now or would it be a plug and play thing that I could just unplug?

    I want to get it changed back ASAP.

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Follow the loom from the clocks. Should be an odd looking black box if its corrected elecronically.
