    What for?

    How long did they last?

Did it affect your insurance much?

When I was 20 years old, I colected 28 in Poland. (limit is 24).
I had to pass my driving test again.
Since I moved to Ireland about 5 years ago, I never received any points, as I didn't really see any road checks here ever.

I got two for doing 70 in a 60 zone about a year ago. Can't complain about it really. My insurance actually went down by about 25% this year.

2 for speeding. Didnt affect my insurance at all (most insurers dont have a problem with 2). They last for 3 years.

I think most insurers treat 4 points as 0.
More points they load you, less points, you get a discount.
I read something along those lines before anyway.
