appeal FIS

    hello,
    today got letter that i am refuse for FIs,becouse i dont have 38h fortnighty,but i have,becouse when i applied i just got new contract with 20h per week,but i payslips wich i included was old 10h per week.
    Maybe somebody know have long will take to appeal FIS decision?

    Appeals can take months to be resolved. Some are dealt with quicker than others, but you can expect at least 4 months for it to come up.

    You can ask for an oral hearing, which prolongs the agony, but in most cases this is usually a good idea to ensure that you get the chance to put across your case as best you can.

    They were always going to refuse you once you had details on the form and payslips that didn't make you eligible.You should have sent in the new details when you got them.

    don't go down the appeals route yet.Ring FIS and ask to speak to whoever sent you the refusal letter.Tell them about your new work schedulle and supply them with a few payslips and a letter from your employer stating the details about your new schedule(date you started extra hours,rate of pay etc.)

    There shouldn't be a problem getting it sorted out within a week or so.
