    Hey

Does anyone think today's ibood watch is a good deal? Its kind of expensive at €130 for a Seiko.... I would think?

No idea on that watch, but there are seikos that retail at 10s of thousands ;)

Ah the old 'just a Seiko' problem. I've spent a four figure sum on one, and about to do the same on another.

It will be a very good quality watch, saphire crystal, and if you were looking for a low profile quartz chrono and not too worried about water resistance it definitely represents value.

Cheers lads. to be honest, the Seiko comment was a bit flippant from me, I dont really know much about the brand of watches

It seems to go for £150 so €130 seems pretty good. I've not spent 4 figures on a Seiko, but do have one that was just under €300 and it's been absolutely rock solid.

RRP for that watch is £195 in the UK, so probably upwards of €250 here. €130 is a pretty good price I would say.

As the owner of a number of automatic seikos, both new and vintage, I would rate them as one of the better brands on the market in terms of value for money and build quality.
If it was me, I would probably prefer an automatic either new from abroad (better selection) or pre owned closer to home. For that money you'll pick up a nicer (IMO) watch and one that will hold it's value much better.
I'll post some links later as I'm on the phone currently.

    The Grand Perhaps?

    The Grand Perhaps?

That's what its shaping up to be alright.

Can't quite shake off the love for the Speedy moonwatch though.

But I'm pretty set on a Grand Seiko SBGX063.

My other pricey Seiko is a Marinemaster 300 SBDX001. That one I love. Put it side by side with any swiss dive watch and I mean any swiss dive watch and it will hold its own on some points, and win on the others.
