Saw him in action out at santry on sunday, he's rock solid, his running economy is supreme.

Gary was up to last year a gym instructor in our job's gym. I got to know him well. What struck me about him was that he had time for everyone and gave me a couple of painful schedules to follow:o

I've raced against him a number of times since (ok been in the same race as him, not raced against him) and he has always made it his business to have a chat with me afterwards.

A sound chap and its good to see him do well;)

I know he is confident that he can run a lot quicker than his 2:26 time in DCM. I'll watch with interest, good luck to him.

The guy is a legend, I ran in the Dundalk half marathon the last two years which he won both years and it's just savage to see him run, cruising along, and what a savage result last weekend, thoroughly deserved.

Seen him chatting inside clubhouse today after the race, looked like he could go do another 70 min odd half. Some man after what hes gone through.

He's some man for one man and an absolute gent. From talking to him before the DCM, he was aiming for 02:20 so could be a lot more to come from him.
