Just a quick question regarding RDC. If for example I were to use a laptop to connect to a server remotely (work), would the administrator (boss) or IT person be able to see my web browsing history/favourites and similar on my laptop? Not the browsing done on the RDC but normal browsing on the personal laptop? Whether legal or not?

In short, no. No-one can see the things on your personal laptop unless you let them in somehow.
