fix lever to put passenger seat forward?

Hey guys, I was in my friends 2 door 05 fiat punto, and was getting into the back. The lever to release the front passenger seat was stiff, so I was advised to put a bit of effort into it. As you can guess, I broke it. The handle itself is still there, so I figure I must have disconnected or torn the cable inside…

Hey guys,

I was in my friends 2 door 05 fiat punto, and was getting into the back. The lever to release the front passenger seat was stiff, so I was advised to put a bit of effort into it. As you can guess, I broke it. The handle itself is still there, so I figure I must have disconnected or torn the cable inside somewhere? Is this a hard fix, or alternatively would it be an expensive job for a mechanic?

Any suggestions welcome!
