Retrieving lost data

    I have an old desktop internal HDD with a SATA conection, I was wondering if there is a way to connect it to my laptop and get all the files off it?

    You could pick up an external caddy (3.5 inch). You just put the hard drive in this and hook it up as an external drive to your laptop.

    A simple USB to SATA adapter is a lot cheaper than a caddy/enclosure.
