San Marino U21s have scored their first goal in 4 and half years of football.

Currently 1-1 with 58 mins gone.

About the only excitement happening anywhere this evening.:P

And it's full time here in Serravalle, a 2-1 victory for the Cypriots, with the winner coming in the fourth minute of injury time.

Hard luck San Marino, you guys gave me some great excitement this evening.

The usual ****e from San Marino. Sick of following them at this stage.

Pathetic attitude, bet you jumped on the bandwagon during the good times.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Something iffy going on in that match no doubt! i was watching it earlier and it was obvious. Bahrain shouldn't even be allowed to play after the way their players were treated but that's going way off topic!

    What happened?

Three or four players took part in a protest against the Al Khalifa family last year, they were sacked by their clubs and banned from the National Team, then thrown in jail where they were kept for a few months.

AFAIK, no clubs in the country will sign them and they are still banned from the NT. There were many more athletes tossed in jail in Bahrain for protesting against the government.

Edit: Article from last June. Link.

The two Hubail brothers play in Oman now and Sayed Adnan in Australia with Brisbane according to wiki.
