any farmers having problems with unwanted deer causing damage ?
i am willing travel anywhere in the country to stalk deer, and will gladly come to your area and cull deer that are causing major problems,(and shoot any foxes that pop their heads up !)
i am fully insured and have the appropriate rifle for the job
i just need to apply for a deer hunting licence from the National Parks and wildlife service.
i usually travel to Scotland to cull deer, but now getting fed up paying huge ferry prices, so looking to shoot closer to home.
I live in N.Ireland, but i will travel anywhere
    many thanks
    Brian

When does the season for deer close?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I forgot to say the land owner can keep all the venison (except maybe 1 or 2 steaks !) and i can take care of any other problems if required e.g pigeon, rabbits fox etc
    Many thanks

Does this mean that the restuarant you were supplying no longer wants venison??;)

    That's a bit uncalled for !
I have no need to sell venison on, if I were into that carry on I wouldn't be offering to help people out, I would be out poaching !!
I am only trying to help out farmers with deer problems, they get some help and I get to do my favourite sport, both parties are happy

Funny the way your original post co-incided with the end of the deer shooting season

Nothing funny about that at all, I just want to have all the paperwork in order for the start of the next season
I have never nor do I have any intentions of shooting anything during closed season. I am a responsible, ethical, law abiding, fully insured shooter

I hope you chased them and reported them to the relevant authorities for tresspassing with a firearm and poaching ! I hate guys that shoot where they know they do not have permission !

    Hello Brian,
I'm down in Kerry and have a major problem with deer. They've literally cleared about 10 acres of the better ground on the farm as their daily grazing patch. They are medium sized deer, I'm not sure of the exact breed but not Red door so I'd be guessing Sika or Fallow.

They are right fat at the moment from all the grass.

I will be planning on either getting a gun and license myself or else getting someone such as yourself involved to do the shooting of 2 or 3 of them this coming winter (I've counted 7 in the herd).

If I don't PM you around the end of the season then feel free to make contact with me and we might be able to set something up if I haven't already got someone local or a gun of my own.

I'm not sure i you have experience and can assist with butchery of the deer or if you leave that up for the farmer to take care of?

    Cheers, Timothy.
