Dubai Airport?

Flying to Kuala Lumpur in 4 weeks time and have a 3 hour stopover in Dubai with Emirates, I have never flown with Emirates or been through Dubai Airport before so am just wondering about it. I flew through Abu Dhabi last year with Etihad and it was fine but my connection time was only 70 mins so it was a case of get off the plane go through security, grab a quick bottle of water, use the toilet and sit down at the gate for a few minutes and board the next flight.

As I have a nice bit of time I am wondering is there free wifi? As I'll have the iPhone and netbook so making use of that would be cool. Also I wonder what is lounge access like, I'm flying economy so won't have that unless I could pay my way in? It would be nice to grab a quick shower and get refreshed before the next leg, not a necessity but if the facility was there why not use it! I'm also thinking of officially entering the UAE to get the passport stamp and maybe spend half an hour in terminal to see what its like!

Any ideas or suggestions? It's only three hours and don't want to miss the flight but still airports are boring places and I spent ages in Heathrow last year waiting for my flight to Abu Dhabi with Etihad as I had a 9hr layover and I went in to the city to visit relatives having taken a morning flight from Cork, but I planned it that way. Still cool to do some exploring and getting the passport stamp would be neat too.
