The Dublin Marathon committee have announced a new race as part of their race series leading up to the Dublin Marathon in October. Up until this year there have been 5 mile, 10 mile and Half Marathon races in Phoenix Park.

In 2012 this is now supplemented with a 10k race in Swords on 22nd July.

Email was sent to previous participants this morning, quoting the following:

new event is added this year with a 10K in Swords on Sunday July 22nd. All other events will be held in the Phoenix Park starting at the usual time of 10am. The 5 Mile will now be held on June 30th, with the new 10K next on July 22nd, the 10 Mile is next on August 25th and the series will finish on September 15th with the Half Marathon
