    Folks,

Is there any way to find out if my car radio has a 3.5mm jack on the back? Its so that I could plug my ipod into it instead of using the itrip.

Its a 07 VW Passat Comfortline.

If it has an AUX option along with FM/AM and CD then it may have a 3.5mm socket. If there's no AUX button, there's probably no auxiliary input.

There is no 3.5 mm jack at the back of your radio.

Why would they put a 3.5mm headphone socket at the back of a car radio? An AUX input for a radio is usually in either the glovebox or the centre armrest, if you can't find it there, there is none.

I think a lot of fords come with the connection in the back, with a place to wire it to the glove box.

That car's FM aerial is the 2 lines printed from top to bottom on the rear window (with the demister) - have your i-trip as close as possible to the rear window if its not working very well reception wise.

Cheapest option is an FM modulator. Works on any radio.
