Hi im thinking of getting a fireplace surround and im not sure if it would look good because of the measurements. I have my eye on a surround that is 54 inch across but my chimney breast is 61 inch wide. Would this be common,to have space on either side of the fireplace i.e. 3.5 inch either side of the surround.
