Hoping to bring family (2 adults 1 child 11 yr old ) to Faro at end of June. Have accommodation booked with free cancellation.
Had been counting on getting flights for between 500/600 euro max by booking early . Been keeping almost a daily eye on them and not drooping below 700.
I've seen sales for Spring and Easter but none for summer.
So my question is has anyone seen such a sale of summer seats over last few years ?
Or do the airlines count on selling them all at full price ?

faro flights seem to be up considerably on last year. Both ryanair & Aer lingus fly there so sometimes i find it cheaper to fly out with one and home with the other.

With Ryanair, check out the smaller regional airports too. I once got flights to Faro for €49.99 each way in August (!) by flying from Kerry. I think they cost about three times as much from Dublin for the same dates.

Was cheaper for me to fly from DUB - MAN then MAN - FARO last year. The prices from Dublin were so expensive. I think the whole 4 flights were under half the price of a Dublin Faro return. Of course there were only 2 of us and we only take hand baggage. Might be more of an ordeal with children.

Have booked flights to faro with kids last 2 years usually the sale offer in Jan is the best price you'll get but keep an eye as sometimes you get bargain alerts or put up thread for bargain request. Sometimes Ryanair may do a week here an there where they dont add on the taxes/fees and levys but not too sure if this happens in peak season as i would usually be going in September when its much quieter. I try to book the flights first so as you can get the best value flying on a particular day and then work my accommodation around that.
