Anyone know where to get lee filters at the best price? And it's for a 24-70 with the 82mm diameter , but 82mm never comes up when I search, just 77 or 85mm.

lee filters are 100mm wide afaik. my big stopper is anyway.
you need to buy the holder as well.
if you are using a wide angle lens, you'll need the 100mm anyway
you can get lee filters from conn's .. but be prepared to pay!

How does it work, does the 100m have screws that tighten into the 82mm?

the big stopper sits into a filter holder that sits on the front of the lens, the filter is square....

I think the big stopper fits the cokin p system, but I am not 100% sure..

They are not available right now, not here or in the states..

the filters are square or rectangular - depending on which filter you are getting.
you screw an adapter ring to suit your lens - 77mm etc. then you attach the holder to the ring. the filter slides in the holder.

btw, cokin P series is 85mm. the big stopper is 100mm and will not fit in a cokin p holder. i wouldn't fit the big stopper into anything other than a holder that's designed to hold it. too expensive to go mucking around IMO.
