    Hi fellas,

Since I got here I never received a decent tax refund despite claiming every february and working all years long.

I'm employed since three years now and my mates from work get tax refunds at around 800-1300 euro per tax year, last year i got 50 euro (FIFTY FFS) of tax back and this year I got 115.

Do I need an accountant or smth? I feel like im getting ripped off here.

Everyones tax affairs are different and unique to them so there is never any point comparing yourself to others. They could be claiming additional reliefs they are entitled to by their personal circumstances or paying more tax than you. Login to your online account see what credits you have been claiming over the last 4 years. Anything you have claimed is in green, what you may be able to claim is in blue and what you can't claim in grey. The links below will assist you, but unless you have additional income to declare there is really no need for an accountant.
