Sat4free - memo button

    Hi all,

My sister uses a sat4free.ie box and has said that the 'reminder button' feature (to highlight programmes you want to watch later), no longer works. It apparently stopped working a few weeks ago and programmes are not tagged on the EPG list when the remote button is pressed.

I use a FTA box myself, so am not familiar with the sat4free EPG operation, or the Freesat EPG on which it's based.

Anyone know if there has been a software change on the Freesat platform that would stop the feature working on sat4free?

    Hi Ger

There could have been a change on the freesat platform, but these boxes arent Freesat boxes :)

I suggest you contact http://www.build.ie/company_485572.htm and ask them who is supporting these boxes these days.

I think what STB is hinting at is that the company providing the boxes were illegally using the TV guide from Freesat. Freesat stopped them, and so probably this box is no longer supported and the TV guide portion may keep giving problems.

    It's a shame.

    I thought as much myself.

They are still on sale in various branches of Tesco though - not a good deal if anyone buys one.

I use an edision 2in1 IP myself - more than enough features for my needs.
