Hello, I hope someone here can make better head or tail of the state benefits than I can.

    My father is 62.
He was retired at 57 from being a part time fire fighter - this was not voluntary, the retirement ages are earlier for this line of work.
He gets nothing from social welfare whatsoever, and needs to sign on once a year.

My mother is working full time.
She earns approximately 41000 a year.
    They have a house

Should he be entitled to any state benefit?
