    Hi guys,

Bit of an unusual request but not sure where exactly to place it....

I was wondering is it possible to obtain flight itinerary information from a flight that occurred back in November? Aer Lingus. I need to confirm if someone was on a flight or not

    Thanks

Sincerely doubt it due to Data Protection etc.

    Impossible.

In an emergency situation (sudden death) I had to locate someone who was travelling as they needed to return home. The airline would not even discuss if they were on the flight...Data Protection. And this was not in a personal capacity, I had the weight of an organisation behind me...they would not even take a message to pass on because that would be to confirm the information I required!!

Nope. They'd have the information but wouldn't give it to you.

I work with a ferry company and under the Data Protection Act we can only give the information out to Customs Officers or Gardaí. The information is very easy to get from our systems but we just can't give it out.

Im afraid not, only Law enforcement (Airport Police,Revenue Customs and Gardai) are entitled to this flight information/passenger itinerarys etc..

Even if the flight was way back in November? I thought the issue was only if a flight was active or soon to be?

No, it's still back-dated, so to speak. Data protection and all that.
