Hi, I m planning on build a 8x5m photostudio in my back yard. I will be doing business in it so it's not just for fun, I believe it changes a lot of things. Can anyone throw some light (excuse the pun) on the subject.

    many thanks

    K

It'll need planning so allow a minimum of 3-4 months, why not talk to a local architect or architectural technician. the 'light' you need will relate to the on-site circumstances and how the application/cover letter is approached, both of which you need to discuss in person in your 'yard'. when you say yard how big are we talking? as there is an open space requirement in most development plans. also how is the parking situation out front?

Plus for any commercial development you will need a Fire Safety Certificate and a Disabled Access Certificate.
