whos the bright spark at the dole office?

ok so I went to my monthly signing on today in wexford dole office. I had received a letter in the post giving me a specific time to sign on in this case it was between 10 am - 10:15 being advised that these new arrangements were to keep queues to a minimum. The old system would have involved signing on between 10am - 12pm. Never much hassel with queues in my opinion.

Ok so i arrive at the dole office shortly after 10am to find a queue strecthing out the door and down the street. What? never been a queue this long in my time there. I wondered did everybody get the same letter and time?? Surely they are not that stupid. Whatever they were trying to do was an epic fail. Resulting in me getting to sign on at about 10.45. They have 4 desks available for signing on and 2 were open. Plenty of people sitting at desks behind the scenes. Was it not possible for some extra heads at the desk?

Why bother send out a letter to everyone on the reg stating they want to keep queues to the minimum when they just end up doing the exact opposite. Its not that hard to organise people to sign there name on a sheet now is it?? I would not trust these people to organise a piss up in a brewery. Joke shop in my opinion. Someone should be to blame for this lack of basic hindsight. Waste of good paper and postage :rolleyes: rant over :mad:
