I got SKY set up recently all aok with the system itself. As you can see it stands out like a sore thumb. Is there any way to cover this up was thinking of some sort of reddy/brown paint. Its an eyesore:confused:
I would have thought he could have skirted along the white trim or at least used black satellite cable so it didnt stand out so much:confused::p

You can camouflage it with a bit of wall-coloured paint. Its in a corner, which is better than down the centre.

Is that just a single cable he used?Hard to see in the pic if it is or if it's shotgun cable.

If it's just a single cable get the installer back,he's meant to use 2 cables as Sky+ is now standard.

As Kristopherous said, just paint the cable reddish brown.

Im gonna get an independent installer to wire it from the side TV box so its goes through the original house cable that UPC used. The house has a tv Box beside the gas and esb since it was built that UPC used so i assume its not belonged to upc. Yeah its definitly just a single wire going to the box! I got one standard sky box and 1 recording (bigger) sky box on 2 tvs

Some paint should do the job to be honest.

Zerks inspected that wire more closely its 100% a single wire from the dish to the wall to the tv 1 single wire going into the SKY BOX STANDARD and SKY BOX HD REcorder. They seem to be working ok though. What does the extra wire do?

The purpose of the second cable is to enable to signals to your Sky+ box. You need 2 signals so that you can watch one channels whilst recording another channel :)

Exactly as mooderator stated, you need 2 cables for Sky+ to fully function, get that installer back to do his job properly unless you have 2 cables running to another part of the house and the single cable is just for the multiroom box.

Your post seems to suggest that you have multiroom so I guess the cables to the Sky+ are running somewhere else?
