    Hello all,
As the subject says, I have an AK that's firing over the 1J limit the last couple of times it was chrono'd so I'm looking to get that sorted out. I believe it's the spring to blame because it had been left in storage in a compressed after a full auto burst and not single shot.

Is there someone who does repairs in Dublin that might be able to sort this out for me?

burn it quick before to go to jail for 100 years....or just bring it to hobby airsoft (my choice)or mia and they will sort it out in 5 mins.:D

There are plenty of retailers who will sort this out for you, your location will largely determine which one will be most appropriate. MIA are close to Blanchardstown, SG Airsoft are near Fairview, Bray Airsoft are on the N11 near Bray, etc.

like the lads previous posters said bring it to a retailer. they'll do it fr you, although a compressed spring will usually cause the power to drop (although many including me believe this to be a myth as the sole purpose of a spring is to stay in it's original state after it's compressed) also just on a side note if you do ask someone and they tell you to fire a couple of hundred of BB through it, don't believe/try it, this will not decrease your AK's velocity.

    Just some useless information :P

say it was something else then, think about it, that means (using very crappy maths here) on average your AEG drops .2J every two mags, that's not that many BB's maybe 900 if they were 2 hi caps. and you go through what? maybe 1300BB in a skirmish so that means you'r AEG will drop every time you go out for a game.

The spring takes time to "bed in" it's a coil of metal being compressed and released lots of times a second.
I don't recall any of mine ever dropping nearly 25 fps after bedding in though. I'd check you don't have an air leak somewhere.
