Sky+ box problem

    Hey guys two problems with out Sky+ box and wondering has anyone else had the same problem. First of all it takes forever to come out of standby, nearly 3 times the amount of time another Sky+ box takes. And the big problem there is no space on the box to record things. There might be one 30 min programme recorded on the box and it will be full. Any ideas?

    Do a planner rebuild.

    Old method:For 'white' Sky+ boxes
    Installer setup - Not listed on the Sky Guide Menu
    To access the Installer setup, do the following:
    1 Press Services on your Sky remote.
    2 Press 4 (System Setup).
    3 Press 0
    4 Press 1
    5 Press Select

    New Method: For HD boxes
    1 Press Services on your Sky remote.
    2 Press 0
    3 Press 0
    4 Press 1
    5 Press Select

    You'll see the options onscreen and just follow them.

    Thanks but no luck and forgot to mention Sky Anytime doesn't work either. I'm just thinking do we actually have a Sky+ account, we have the box but maybe its just a basic account?

    If you don't have the record facility activated you'd get a message on screen telling you.

    Ring Sky,tell them you are going to cancel 'cos the box is banjaxed and they'll send someone out to replace it for free.

    If you do the rebuild thing mentioned above will it wipe any programs yuo have already recorded on it? By box has one or two recorded and a few set up on series link but showing only 10% free.
    Need a new box anyways as it keeps freezing when on stand by and I need to unplug wait a while and get it to reboot then.
