Check out donedeal Aquatech are selling the "13.5 kw" one there for 1995 including, fleible hoses, kwh meter, filter ball valve and delivery. all of which are extra on their own site.

    http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/heating/2229016

but a word of caution, I have seen 2 of these heat pumps this week the heat output on the unit is 12.5kw not 13.5kw as on the Aquatech website, the manual for the units (printed and download) and on donedeal ad

things I have noticed so far:
the exterior of both units look new,
one does not have the polarbear sticker on it,
"oil" under one of the compressors,
insulation missing off pipework of both units,
First impressions are one if not both units have been repaired.

I have been to install both these units so if anyone knows if these units are normally 13.5kw or actually 12.5kw I would be very greatful

Yea it is, as far as I know Aquatech are the only supplier of polar bear heat pumps, I dont know who actually makes them, its a sanyo compressor in them.

One thing to be careful of if considering installing a heat pump is if your heating system is suitable, if its Rads or underfloor heating designed for oil/gas or solid fuel its most likely a heatpump wont work too well, but every system is different.

Also, if you check the small print the heatpump must be connected to a buffer tank or system link box or the warranty is not valid.

I will be working on these units over the next week and will update on here

only a small update, Aquatech were contacted about the oil under the compressor and after a quick chat and a few photos have a replacement on its way, they were helpful and nice to deal with but no explanation for the 13.5kw/12.5kw question at the moment

how did you fair out tmp ?

New unit was sent up, still 12.5kw, Aquatech claim it is 13.5kw but marked up wrong.
Its not running yet, have buffer tank and all plumbed in but the owner hac changed where it is to be put outside which has delayed things a bit

Thanks for the information always to hear good feedback

Does the sticker on the side of yours give the heat output as 12.5kw or 13.5kw?

I hope to get back to the install after the bank holiday, the underfloor heating in the house is designed to run at low water temperatures so im expecting/hoping for good results.

How are you delivering the heat to the house, underfloor or rads?

Interesting idea with the rads at low temperature.that leads me to a new question.is there are case for running such a head pump with normal rads at low temperature in a house that is build to near passive standards.or would it still be quite an inefficient system?

Could be an idea, might also work where you are using a stove with back boiler to heat the rads.you could use the heat pump to keep the rads to a certain temp and boost that with the stove when needed. just me thinking out loud here and I have no real idea on heating systems, haha.
