    It's your employer's choice - they can give you an extra day's pay, an extra day of annual leave, or a paid day off within a month. A lot of employers, if not most, will give the next working day (in this case, the Monday) - but it's not guaranteed.

    As that page says, the Monday is not a public holiday. It might be a bank holiday (like Good Friday), but it has no legal meaning.

    Does anyone know if Mothers Day , March 18th will be 12.30 closing in the pub because the Monday will be a bank holiday for Patricks Day. I know theres a difference between Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.
