RTE 1 News (6 pm) - screen going pink and reception "blacking out" - sporadically - have a Walker STB and am not sure if it a fault in the set top box or a transmission fault.....I would appreciate if somebody in Three Rock area could confirm similar difficulties......Thanks in anticipation.....

Are you connected with a Scart cable? A poor connection of the Scart could cause this.

Thanks for reply......only lead from the STB to TV is HDMI lead...

RF Interference. Baby alarm, mobile house phone, mobile phone. Are you using an indoor amplified aerial ?

Sorry......none of the above really.....and my aerial is external....erected on back wall of Boiler House adjacent to Satellite dish...both share a single cable (with the appropriate joining / splitting connections at both ends).....since the Oscars came on (RTE 2) I have experienced no "blackout / pink blips".....

I have a walker box since Christmas and I thought that the sound would be much better that with the analogue system With the LG set I have I could pick up the digital and the sound was louder but NO picture so hence the box but the sound has to be turned up by the tele button .. Also is there any way around this ? Having to put on the tv (one remote) putting onthe box (2nd remote) clicking on the source button and moving it from antenna to HDMI back again to 2nd remote to say I do not want to view files.(i leave the usb stick in for recording) takes a while for all this. Good job i am in bed while doing all this,
